Holy Clothing

When I was little I was certain I would grow up to be a princess. I think it is  a common theme in a little girl’s daydreams. It may perhaps explain why us ladies are so drawn to the princess like clothes of the renaissance. Sadly I own very few pieces and that is mostly because they are just so expensive to buy and if you happen to find a reasonably priced piece the quality is substandard.

Well ladies you can get excited because I am happy to be able to tell you that you can own that piece of clothing that makes you feel like a princess at a fantastic price! Holy Clothing hand makes high quality romantic clothing! They have a range of styles and offer everything from dresses to shirts, pants and skirts! When I first browsed their site my inner princess squealed with delight. I just knew I needed to have a dress, at least one, to start with.

After much browsing I settled on one that was a romantic Victorian dress. One of the first things I noticed with my Kalila Puff Sleeve Lace-Up Victorian Peasant Corset Dress Gown was the fantastic attention to detail. This is not a tossed together costume piece, it is superbly designed and has some many fine touches that you will look and feel like you have on a piece of history. While this will make a most beautiful costume if you choose, what I love is that it will also make a charming dress for other occasions where you would normally wear a dress.

On the front upper body part of the gown there is a lovely velvet material with lace inlay and it has lacing up the front like a corset. The back has elastic which helps to make sure the body fits perfectly and lays right. The sleeves have a gathered puff at the top, which to me adds so much to the romantic look of the gown. There is an intricate vine embroidery that runs the length of the dress and satin Godet skirt inlays that give the hem a full flare. You will also find lace trim adding even more style and femininity to the dress.

The dress is made from 100% Viscose/Rayon and is machine washable on gentle, which is just magical to me that something so delicate looking can go in the washing machine.  I love that these are handmade, but I especially feel great knowing that they are ethically made in India and are exclusive to Holy Clothing.

If you have an inner princess or a special princess in your life I highly recommend you browse the selection at Holy Clothing. I know you will be amazed by the variety, quality and fantastic prices. You can also connect with Holy Clothing on their facebook page.
